Dull, rich colours,such as ar© used in the shawl itself, are alsomatched in satin for buttons, cords, and otherfastenings. The embroidered crepe shawls incolours, pink, blue, and yellow, are light a ISO fascinating for these small wrar.H. The colourswhich ae obtained at some of the good dyeingestablishments with these old shawls arewonderfully beautiful, the pinks especiallybeing charmingly deep and soft. Yet it is aqnes-tion whether any colour which could beobtained would be so beautiful as the old ivoryof a shawl which has lain wrapped in finelinen for many years.
