DURBAN, General Attorney of the Baltimore andOhio Railroad Company for Ohio and Indiana, died earlyWednesday morning, September 8, on a Baltimore and Ohiotrain near Cumberland, Maryland. He had been seriously ill formany months and at the time of his death was returning to Zanes-ville, Ohio, accompanied by his wife and physician. Mr. Durban was born in Zanesville on November 10, 1859, a son ofThomas and Mary (Crooks) Durban. He was educated in the publicschools of Zanesville and later entered the Law School of the Uni-versity of Michigan, graduating therefrom in 1879. He was thenadmitted to the Bar of Ohio and entered upon the practice of law inZanesville. In April, 1881, he married Miss Margaret Dennis, whosurvives him. He quickly earned a position of prominence at theZanesville Bar, and before many years had passed was consideredone of the leaders of th
