There is an atmosphere of serenityabout Washington that is restful to the visitor.It is as if the people of Washington, close to theheart of our government, realize that greataccomplishments require calm and deliberation. The first thing to greet the expectant sightseeras he alights from his train is the stupendousUnion Railway Station—a structure of huge pro-portions and surpassing magnificence, erected ata
