Wooden sculpture depicting typical loggers' garb at the Collier Logging Museum at Collier State Park in Chiloquin, Oregon
Summary
The park was established in 1945 when two brothers, Alfred and Andrew Collier, donated 146 acres to the state of Oregon. They also donated a collection of antique logging equipment that shows the evolution of the logging industry. Alfred Collier continued to add to the collection until his death in 1988. As a result, the museum has one of the largest collections of logging equipment in the world.
