Summary
From a series of Norwegian landscape photographs taken by the English photographer Henry Rosling (1828-1911), partly published by his brother-in-law Francis Frith's (1822-1898) huge photographic firm in Reigate, England, established in 1859 and one of the world's largest distributors of photographic cards. The company presented more than 200 Norwegian motifs for sale through its catalogs for an international market, not least based on increasing tourism.
