United States Revenue Cutter Service Ship BEAR, between 1890 and 1900 (AL+CA 4225)

Written on negative sleeve: U.S. Cutter Bear was on Alaska run for several years. Between 1886 and 1926 the USRCS Bear worked as a rescue ship along the Pacific Coast and primarily in Alaska. In 1931 it was sold to a private owner.
