Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest educates public at local festivalIMG 2685 (28161441312)

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest personnel and local volunteers participated in the annual Freedom Festival in Provo, Utah, one of the largest July 4th celebrations in America. The Friends of Smokey Bear hot air balloon was launched for the 20th year as part of the festival. Smokey Bear, Woodsy Owl, and Forest Service personnel participated in the parade to educate the public about fire prevention, caring for the land, and the “If you Fly, We Can’t” drone message.
