For Street Railways the DAFT SYSTEM possesses the following named advantages:—TJnobtrusiveness of the Electrical Machinery.—It is entirely beneath the car-floor, and the regu-lating gear on each platform requires less space for its operation than the hand brake; besides permit-ting the driver to be always in front, without recourse to a turntable at every reversal of direction.
