The foundation and top of Penwiper are cut out in mill-board, which is covered with scarlet military cloth, andthe cloth ornamented with Braiding, in fine blackbraid. The Penwiper is formed of rounds of blackcloth, folded into four, and sewn, by the centre pointthus formed, to a bought brass handle, which is passedthrough both pieces of millboard, and fixed, with aninch space between the millboards, to hold the blackcloth. No. 376. Drawn Work Antimacassar. Foundation material, Toile Colbert or Butter cloth. Thedrawn tin cads spaces are run down the centre withcrimson purse silk, and the plain spaces embroideredin Coral Stitch, with pale blue purse silk. 51aDrawn Work. No. 377.
