Summary
Continuous stripe pattern in yellow, tan and red on red ground showing symmetrical leaf clusters and rosettes in the Empire style. Compound weave of two structures: 5-harness satin weave foundation with 3/1 twill pattern. The twist is interconnected with the foundation satin in plain weave. Floats of the foundation weft to pattern are bound in 3/1 twill, by the twill warp. Cut from a larger fabric to be used as a trimming band.
