Stationen öppnad för trafik 1875-12-07. 1939 ombyggdes stationshuset och fick därigenom en modern interiör. I samband med elektrifieringen 1947 byggdes godsmagasin. Även bangården ombyggdes. Stationen har tre industrispår till olika industrier.
