Summary
The Whitby Town station on the Port Whitby & Port Perry Railway. The photographer is looking south-west across the tracks. Hickory Street is just behind the station and Dundas (Kingston Road/Highway 2) to the left. The engine house was located a few blocks to the north-east, and the interconnection with the Grand Trunk about two kilometres south.
