A printed account from "Mr. Thompson's Journal" of his activities which appeared in the Glasgow Chronicle. He writes of his visit to Providence and of his lectures and encounters while there. He writes of interviews with Moses Brown, Francis Wayland, and Professor Griscome. He writes of delivering antislavery lectures in Lowell, Massachusetts and of a brick-bat thrown at him while lecturing. He addressed the Andover Theological Seminary. He writes of attending a Convention for the formation of an "American Union for the Relief and Improvement of the Colored Race." He writes of his other engagements lecturing at churches around New England.
