Images taken by J.L. McAllen on a trip to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Northport, Washington as part of a University of Washington's School of Mining trip in the winter. McAllen was an instructor in mining at the University of Washington circa 1917 and contributed to the Winter Mining Sessions, a shorter more technical mining class than the regular academic program.
