SAN DIEGO (Feb. 22, 2013) Linda Winter, ship's sponsor for the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), pins Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Richard Jett with his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignia. Winter and her husband, former Secretary of the Navy Dr. Donald Winter, pinned Jett and Quartermaster Seaman Tazze Tanner, the first two Sailors to qualify in the ship's Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist program.
