Letter from Harriet Lupton, St. Asaph, [Wales], to William Lloyd Garrison, April 10 [1877]
Summary
Harriet Lupton writes William Lloyd Garrison stating that his letter was a "joyful event" in her life, as well as an "encouraging one", and that she considers it a "pleasure & an honor" to have received it. Lupton states that they followed the presidential campaign closely in the papers, and states that this has given them a "raised" appreciation of both "American character" and "republican institutions".
