Scope and content: View a two-horse litter with a wounded soldier, possibly First Lieutenant Adolphus H. Von Luettwitz, and an attendant along French Creek, Black Hills, Dakota Territory. The soldier is covered with a plaid blanket and tree boughs serve as a head rest and provide shade for his head.
