Geir Zoega and Brusa - Public domain portrait drawing
Summary
Humorous drawing shows Geir Z"ega, an Icelandic travel guide, holding a dog in one hand and a switch in the other. Brusa is a Scandanavian word for horsefly, but also any animal that disturbs livestock. Taylor visited Iceland in 1862, perhaps en route to Russia.
