Gates of Time - National Parks Gallery

The two Gates of Time that boarder the Outdoor Memorial represent the minute before and after the explosion of the bomb. The 9:01 gate demonstrates the last moment of innocence for the city, nation and world. The 9:03 gate represents all that came after; hope recovery and healing. Framed between the two, is the long minute of devastation and chaos that is 9:02 a.m., April 19, 1995.
