Summary
Caroline Matilda of Great Britain (11 July 1751 – 10 May 1775), known to the Danish as Caroline Mathilde, was born in Great Britain to Frederick, Prince of Wales, and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. At the age of 15 years, she left Britain for Denmark, where she married her cousin Christian VII of Denmark on 8 November 1766 at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen. This broadsheet was printed to mark her arrival in Copenhagen and her marriage to the king.
