Its smooth runningunder full load and the absence of the usual troubles whichresult with a steam engine, as well as its low steam consump-tion, make all those who have installed this type of equipmentmost enthusiastic over it. Semi-Convertible Car for Danbury, Conn. installed. This method of suspension is finding such favoron the single phase roads that its use is contemplated fordirect current equipments. Strain insulators and other linematerial are on exhibit, as is also the substation meter equip-ment required. The pantagraph trolley is shown set up on the floor con-nected to a compressed air supply so that the trolley may beraised or lowered exactly as in the complete equipment, by theair supply*. The trolley is arranged so that the shoe comes incontact with a trolley wire. There is shown also direct cur-rent line material, as well as the control used in the cars.Full repair parts for the direct current motors are also in-cluded. One portion of the exhibit contains the complete unitswitch control used in the control of electric trains operatedeither by alternating or direct current.
