Prints show eight pages of the "El Ahuizote" newspaper with illustrated masthead, cartoons on the front and back covers, and a double page centerfold spread, articles under headings "Tonteras" and "Claridades" such as "La politica de Don Sebastian", and a long poem "Deprecacion al gobierno". The cartoon on the title page shows Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, President of Mexico, labeled "Ejecutivo" holding two dolls labeled "Judicial" and "Legislativo" with the caption "Tres poderes distintos y uno solo verdadero." The centerfold shows four scenes labeled "Manãna", "Medio dia", "Tarde", and "Noche". Recurring figures, including Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, are shown at various times of the day. On the back cover is a comic about "bomberos".
