Major Perkins, ARC Comm. for Europe, entertaining the Japanese Red Cross Comm. for luncheon in Paris, Aug. 24th. The Comm. came to Europe for the purpose of studying the work of the Allied Red Cross organizations in the field. After they had made an inspection of American hospitals near the front, and had been entertained by the A.R.C. in Paris, certain member of the Comm. went to Belgium and were received by the Belgian court at Harve. The program of the Comm. includes visits to Switzerland and Italy, where it has been charged to perform certain duties by the American, French and other R.C. organizations. With them, the Comm. brought a number of gifts consisting of bandages, surgical instruments and other supplies. These they will send to various hospitals in France. When they return to Japan they will put the results of their inspection at the disposition of the Japanese Red Cross
