Horizontal rectangle. A herd of elephants is shown trotting backwards in a hilly country. Palm trees stand laterally in the foreground. Two dwarves are ready to spring from them, as did a third who, holding the tail and standing upon a knee, raises an axe with his left hand to cut horns of the knees of the animal he caught, the last one. Reverse: "I Trogloditi nani stando sur uno albro lanciato passarono [for passante] uno branco / di liofonti si lanciano alla groppa delli faltimo (?) e con la sinestera / attacati alla coda e uno piedi appoggiati sil ginocchio de -/liofante ultimo et un [for:con] una scure della [nella] mano destra gli toglino / il ginocchio. Le 8 cap. 8 Plinio / Telinantiano (?) loro strette lun laltra in logho strette e el mano a essere / pitmine (?) e a pilare la mano salta alla coda e togliano leginoghie con la scure iniolifante morti in lontano tagliata in pitozze a / portata via carna fano le fornice."
