Drawing, Design for Painted Decoration of a Wall, 1835–50 (CH 18558641)
Summary
A dado is shown at the bottom, a frieze with wreaths hanging around a molding and an entablature above. The decoration of the panel is white upon blue. Ribbons, consisting of rows of petals, rise alternatlely in oppostie directions. In the resulting ovoidal compartments alternate circular wreaths with rosettes, between two petals, and palmettes between two petals.
