Divan of Nava'i, in Chaghatay Turkish -Painted covers over illuminated manuscript- - Lower cover (Or1374)

This particular work was signed by Mir Sayyid 'Ali (c1540), an extremely influential artist who travelled to India and helped found the Mughal school of painting. Upper cover depicts a garden scene. Part of the British Library's Asian, Middle Eastern and African Studies Collections.
