Adeline Genee was the most illustrious ballerina to have visited Australia until 1913. After her tour she retired, although she occasionally made charity appearances in England, where she lived until her death in 1970.

Dame Adeline Genée DBE (born Anina Kirstina Margarete Petra Jensen; 6 January 1878 – 23 April 1970) was a Danish-British ballet dancer.

Adeline Genée performed with many of the world's leading ballet companies, including the Royal Danish Ballet and the Imperial Ballet in Russia, and choreographed ballets, including "The Dream" (1914) and "The Magic Mirror" (1917).
