Copper Fishtail Kettle Lug - GRPO 8082

Decorative copper fishtail-design kettle lug measuring 6.8 cm long, 5.2 cm wide, and 0.3 cm thick. This style of kettle ear dates to approximately 1800 for English kettles, just near the end of the North West Company's tenure at Grand Portage. It was recovered by archeological crews during the 1936-37 excavations.
