Color Standards and Nomenclature - afa95345dd089495e842fb74eb81ca99 (page 5)
Summary
Volume written with the intent to apply standardized nomenclature to colors and color names. The work is self-proclaimed as one of the few "modern books on the subject of color" that is not "purely technical... pertaining to the physics of color, the painter's needs, or to some particular art or industry alone..." It is geared towards the naturalist who seeks to classify or illustrate specimens using a standardized understanding of color. The book contains eleven hundred and fifteen color samples, each with a proposed standard name.
