Summary
Vertical hand-colored stipple engraving of a full length portrait of Daniel Boone. In fall of 1820, Lewis made a copper plate engraving of the Chester Harding painting and between 2 and 3 hundred prints were sold. They were earliest known prints made west of Mississippi River.Title: "Col. Daniel Boon [sic]." (Daniel Boone).
