Summary
A foliate border with scrolled ends of trompe l'oeil gems and flowers, the arms of Clement VII, roundels containing the Medici devices of an eagle perched on a diamond ring with three feathers and motto 'Semper', and the motto 'Candor Illesus' inscribed on a banner curling round a tree and a trunk supporting a crystal ball through which pass sun rays, one of which hits the tree causing it to burst into flames and the other strikes the banner but has no effect, measuring 255 x 35 mm.
