SHEDOWA. FIREFIAKE NeW Gladiolus Guilds! for 1913. The followingsunerb new varieties of Gladiolus (our own seedlings) are nowoffered for the first time.~ Thpy are all of Childsi tvpe, except Hunchback, which is a hybrid Lemoinei. MRS. F. M. tUPTON. A distinct lisht rose, equal to Panama or America. Large, wide-snreading ilower and long perfect spike. FIREKING. Long graceful spikes showing half a dozen immense blooms open at the same time. Color intense fire scarlet. More bril- liant than Brenctaleyensis, Cardinal, Mrs. Francis King or any other variety. It is perfectly grand, and will become the lead- ing out-flower variety of its color. SOUTHAMPTON. An immense spike of large flowers. Color a soft'orange- rose, sometimes slightly flaked. White bars and light yellow throat. This is quite a distinct and most pleasing color, and a splendid flowpr in every way- RARERAY. Large, wide-spreading flower of a rare bright lilac pink, with car-nine flaked thmat. It is a very rareand most beauti- ful and desirable shade of color. SHEDOWA. Soft, delicate pink flower, exquisitely marked and mottled In center. Enormous spike and large, wide-spreading flower of perfect form. FIREFLARE. Bright, soft salmon-rose, with beautifully marked and rayed center- Flowers large, perfect ami of great substance. Snikps stour, comnnct and perfect in form. HUNCHBACK. Deep, lilac-crimson, with large, yellowish-white center. Flowers very handsome but spike grotesquely crooked. "While the color is odd and pleasing, the spike is more curious than beautiful.
