Galena, AK (Aug. 6)--AMTC Brian Miller gets tools from one C-130 to work on another while on deck in Galena, AK. Miller was one of four Air Station Kodiak maintenance workers temporarily assigned to Galena to help keep four C-130 airplanes ready to go 24-hours each day. The HC-130 Hercules is a long-range surveillance and transport, fixed-wing aircraft that is used to perform search and rescue, enforcement of laws and treaties including illegal drug interdiction, marine environmental protection, military readiness, and International Ice Patrol missions, as well as cargo and personnel transport.
