Drawing with coloured wash of the baptism of Balan in a tub by Pope Milon with 4 archbishops present, on the left, and on the right, Balan (Witikin) tells Charlemagne and the pope of an attack, with men in boats from Reggio at the far right, in the Chanson d'Aspremont. Image taken from ff. 18v-19 of Chanson d'Aspremont (verses 209-514, imperfect). Written in French.
