Apron (Italy), 17th century (CH 18391423)

White linen apron pleated into a narrow band at the top. The sides and lower half of the apron are decorated with squares of cut work with needle-lace fillings alternating with squares embroidered in white in a stylized plant motif. The bottom is trimmed with scalloped needle lace.
