Mr. Edgerly is a conductor on the Exeter,Hampton and Amesbury street railway. 91. THEOPHILUS SANBORN (Adna, Elizabeth, David,) wasborn in Hampton Falls, May 6, 1828; married July 9, 1848,Mary E., daughter of Samuel Dow, of Salisbury, Mass. Shewas born in Salisbury, June 3, 1831. He was noted for hisremarkable strength and powers of endurance. He enlisted asa soldier from Salisbury in April, 1861, in the 17th Massachu-setts Regiment, was taken prisoner in 1863, and died of star-vation in Andersonville in July, 1864. Mrs. Sanborn resideswith her son in Salisbury. Children: 238. Sarah Cordelia, b. Aug. 15, 1849; d. June 2, 1853. 239. Adna, b. July 22, 1852; d. Dec. 16, 1863. 240. Susie Emma, b. Sept. 9, 1853; d. Feb. 5, 1876. 241. Wallace, b. Oct. 5, 1857; res. Salisbury. 242. Mary Augusta, b. May 6, 1859; d. Feb. 9, 1866.

DEACON DAVID BATCHELDER 39 93. DAVID B. SANBORN (Adna, Elizabeth, David,) was bornHampton Falls, June 6, 1829; married Dec., 1861, Sarah J.,daughter of Abel Morrill, of Dover, N. H. She was born Dec.31, 1828, died Sept. 24, 1885. He lived in Salisbury, Mass.;was much employed in moving buildings, in which business hewas well skilled. On the night of Jan. 15, 1892, he was shotin his own house by a burglar, and died the following day. Themurderer was captured, and was sentenced to thirty yearsimprisonment in the Massachusetts state prison. Mr. San-born was a prominent and esteemed citizen, and his tragicdeath was a shock to the community. Child: 24-3. Annie Linvilla, b. May 4, 1863; m. Eben M. Currier. 94. CHARLES C. SANBORN (Adna, Elizabeth, David,) wasborn in Hampton Falls, Dec. 25, 1832; married March 15,1854, Mary A., daughter of Perley Bartlett, of Salisbury,Mass.; lives in Salisbury, is a farmer, has held town offices. Children: 244. Carrie A., b. Dec. 25, 1854; d. Sept. 17, 1856.
