Summary

Bloch's Hobby Store - Catalog - Allentown PA
Bloch's Hobby Shop was an Allentown tradition for modelers, electric train enthusiasts, radio-controlled airplanes, artists, and other hobbyists for decades.
Bloch's opened in 1939 at 22 North 8th Street by Gene Bloch, formerly a paint salesman from Emmaus. In its early years, Block also sold a line of paints as well as being a hobby shop. He later moved the paint part of the business to 1111 Hamilton in 1961 when his store on 8th was bought by Park & Shop, and the hobby store was moved to 407 North 7th Street.

Bloch passed suddenly in October 1963, however the store remained open under the same name. It eventually closed about 1994.
