Description: This may be the Stanthorpe Telegraph Office which opened on 19th August 1872. The line was in the charge of Mr Johnson (late of Dalby). Business was such that two months later, a second wire was added. The building was described at the time as being very modest, but adequate - small enough to be 'almost thrown upon the dray...'
