ENGINE AND TURBINE EQUIPMENTThe engine and turbine equipment under contract embracesnine 8000-hp to 11,000-hp main engines, directed connected to5000-kw generators; three steam turbines, direct connected to1875-kw lighting generators, and two 400-hpengines, direct connected to 250-kw excitergenerators. The main engines are being con-structed and erected by the Allis-ChalmersCompany, of Milwaukee; the steam turbinesby the Westinghouse Machine Company, ofPittsburg, and the exciter engines by West-inghouse, Church.
