Drawing, Design for a Cruet Frame with Alternative Suggestions, early 19th century (CH 18548729)
Summary
Horizontal rectangle. Design for a cruet frame with alternative suggestions. The handle is formed by a Medusa head wrapped between two snakes, rising from the arched railing on top of two bowls in the shape of egg cups at left and right. The cups are decorated with laurel festoons at left and vine festoons at right. The bottles have two rectangularly broken handles. The base shows a moulding; from its center rises a plant on a sphere.
