Summary
Folio 12, plate 12 of a series of 12. Design for mounts of a ewer or vase influenced by shell forms to be executed in jasper. A figure of a young boy reclines on rocks, shells, and flowers on the lid, a goat with a long tail decorates the handle, and acanthus and scroll motifs adorn the foot. At right, a line drawing of the ewer to which the mounts would be attached.
