White, Dispatcher, Flora, III. i E DWARD WALDEMAR SCHEER. who was appointed general I 1^ superintendent of the Southwestern District on July 10, 1916, wasborn in Zaleski, Ohio, on April 28, 1875. He was educated there in I the public schools, and on February 10, 1890, entered the service of the I Baltimore and Ohio as a messenger in the car department. He served as I clerk and stenographer in the car and transportation departments until I December 15, 1895, when he was appointed chief clerk to the superintendent I at Chillicothe. After four years of service there he went to Cincinnati as I secretary to the vice-president and general manager, later becoming chief I clerk to the general manager, and assistant secretary of the Southwestern ; I I District.
