When the De Land, Florida industrial pool found it lacked buildings to fulfill a million-dollar war contract, it asked the Johnny J. Jones circus to move out of its winter quarters at the county fairgrounds so that the fair's seventeen-foot buildings could be used as a war plant. Within a few weeks, war production machines of sixteen different companies pooled into one community assembly line and began pounding out weapons beneath the gay circus banners on the domed buildings in the background

Casey had to have a welding generator and couldn't buy one. So he took an old Overland chassis, mounted a Dodge motor on it, attached a Studebaker radiator, and connected a second-hand generator to the engine.
